Choosing The Right Wheels For Your Volkswagen Transporter!

The Volkswagen Transporter T5 and T6 are known to be among the hardest and easiest vans to choose alloy wheels for. It's not very often you see hardest and easiest in the same sentence, but in this post, we'll explain why there's such a contrast and how you can choose the most suitable alloy wheel for your van.

Hardest (in a good way!)

Due to its versatility in style options, wheel sizes and endless wheel set ups the Volkswagen Transporter T5 and T6 range has, it can become quite challenging to choose the perfect alloy wheel and tyre setup.

However, the van will look fantastic once you have selected your package. Before looking for a wheel and tyre package, you need to think about whether you'd want to go for either the All-Terrain (Swamper) setup style or the more conventional look.

While we won't go into much detail (as I will do a separate post explaining everything you need to know), alloy wheels are available in 18 inches, 19 inches, and 20 inches if you are looking for a more conventional look.

The 18 inches would be the most popular option as the alloy wheel looks and sits excellent, but they also have a nice sidewall to provide a nice comfortable ride.

However, if you want to run an alloy wheel that is not as large as a 20 inch, we recommend you go for the 19 inches as the size and options are limited.

And, of course, our 20-inch range (our most considerable size) includes the 20 inches staggered setup, which provides an excellent stance for larger vans.

Choosing the right alloy wheels for your Volkswagen Transporter can be pretty challenging due to their many options and setups.

However, choosing the right alloy wheels for this type of van is easier than others as there are not many alloy wheels that will not suit the Volkswagen Transporter.

Therefore, it shouldn't be hard to choose from the options available for your Volkswagen Transporter van!

We work closely with several other brands, including AXE, Rotiform, and Velare, that can suit any van.

So if in doubt, get in touch with us, and we can help you choose the correct alloy wheel for your Volkswagen Transporter.

Choosing The Right Wheel

First and foremost, each size has its pros and cons; however, if you base your search on what the van is used for, it will help with any search.

Therefore, before looking around for alloy wheels, decide what you will be using them for and their requirements.

For example, 20" staggered wheels wouldn't be recommended for vehicles used on building sites as the sidewall of the tyres are low. And, being on and off-sites all day will increase the risks of a blowout and buckled wheels.

If you're using the van for work or pleasure and want to enhance the van, the 18" would be ideal.

While most vans will have a 16" alloy wheel, jumping to an 18" alloy wheel will work wonders for the look.

If you're looking to use your van on campsites or around Europe, the 17" All Terrain Swamper would be a good option as it works perfectly on grassy grounds and gravel lanes and is a bit more pothole friendly.

On the other hand, if your choice is to lower the van entirely and want to give it a nice stance, the 20" options will be a perfect fit!

We hope this covers how you can get the right alloy wheels for your van. If you're unsure or need any further support in your decision, get in touch with us.

We love what we do and would love to point you in the right direction to finding the perfect wheel to suit your needs!
